As far as I know, Gaile said they will be class specific (she said something along the lines of "What skills aren't class specific?"- even though this isn't entirely a great point, i get what she was saying).

Haha, I had almost forgotten that these were coming! Perhaps an update is in order? "Shouldn't be long now!" has kinda passed.

"Shouldn't be long now" is not the same as "Won't be long now."
So how is her saying what she said a promise? They're testing the things out and doing their best to not introduce any broken crap and I'm glad they're taking their time to get it right.

Rough estimation of their arrival, judging from past "soon" updates: February 2008.

Perhaps they have higher priorities? Like fixing the anti-farm code that "doesn't exist" in hard mode?

The fact that these were said to be released with Hard Mode kinda makes you wonder just what is going on. Most of us would just like some update with real information on what's going on with these skills. The wait itself is secondary to being in the dark.

Take a wild guess where this supposed "anti-farming problems in hard mode" go on their list. It’s called the “round file.”
Anyways I would like to know if there is a problem or even an update to them saying “Well guys we are still trying to fix the new sunspear skills, making sure they are well prepared for your enjoyment.”
It does not take much to give an update on the situation.

Just wondering what dictionary the staff at ArenaNet use?

These really must be some interesting skills, if it's taking an extra 2 months to balance 3 PvE skills per profession. PvE only! If they are terribly overpowered or underpowered, there's no real harm done, just a quick fix...let us test them already, please!
And also, to Anet - obviously the skills aren't going to be perfect when they come out...but please err on the side of them being underpowered, that way when you fix them, everyone can be happy about a buff, as opposed to being angry about a nerf.

Lol @ Anet. Ontime as always.
You think these skills will be ready in time for GWEN when we no longer need them anymore?

There is a great quote from a writer named Robert Jordan (okay, that isnt his real name just his public one) and it goes like this, "It will be released when it is finished." He is referring to a book, and the skills will be released when ANET is finished with them.

I'm sorry, but the line works far better for Blizzard, as their product is definitely superior (Yes, even WoW. I don't play because of lore destruction).

Sadly that comment falls down when they've been given ETA's twice and we've seen nothing. I can only assume Robert didn't say the book would be ready in 2 months time and still be writing it 4 months later, because books can hardly have deadlines.

You know what 'It will be released when it is finished' is the same quote often used by George Broussard.
Don't know who George Broussard is? He runs 3drealms, the company that did all the Duke Nukem games. This is regarding Duke Nukem Forever. It's taken them so long, they have completely lost their fan base.
The tie-in: HM was supposed to contain the Sunspear skills to make it more fun and viable for more people. Notice all the threads about how it's so difficult to find people for HM? You do the math.
